I have never had a bad experience at Oishii. I typically dine here solo so it's easy to grab a spot at the bar however, because it is so small there are always people waiting for tables. You really can't beat the prices here especially for the quality of food. This last time I dined here for dinner and got the miso soup, yellow tail roll, and RM Roll. All of it was fresh and delicious. The RM roll pieces are large so a bit challenging to eat. It's a shrimp tempura and avocado roll topped with salmon, chopped scallops and habanero masago. All of the staff were very friendly. Check this place out if you're in the area.

This is easily the most affordable sushi restaurant we've been to. The service is really fast since they are usually busy. The parking lot is also pretty small, so be warned on that We always get one of their lunch specials. It's a great value because you get a roll (or 2), nigiri/sashimi, and miso soup for 2 people for less than $30 which is a HUGE steal for sushi. The food isn't life changing but it's filling and has never made me sick (I have the most sensitive stomach on earth lol) so it's always gonna hit the spot when we crave sushi! The restaurant is like one big ramen house, lots of fun decor and good vibes all around.

Oishii serves delicious sushi at a great value point. They offer happy hour which usually comes with a wait but it is absolutely worth it. My boyfriend and I came here and kept ordering additional rounds because of how much we loved the sushi. It is a popular spot and usually always packed when we come at night. But a bustling ambiance means a healthy business and that the restaurant is people's choice! Parking is super limited so plan to come early. Would highly recommend Oishii for sushi!

Oishii's happy hour is always a highlight in our friend group. Whether it's grabbing a bite before catching a movie or just having a nice meal, oishii does a great job of providing quick and good service. The inside is a bustling and lively place anyone would want to have a meal in. The happy hour prices, quality and quantity can't be beat! I think we've tried most of everything on the appetizer menu, but the dish that always mesmerizes me is the Agedashi tofu. It's truly a wonder, being both flavorful and light at once, and appearing at times to be alive. The only downside to the experience is their strength: the crowd. Parking can be impossible at times, which is disheartening. However, if you wait, it's worth it!

Had a surprise birthday dinner for my best friend here! The restaurant is small but was very accommodating when we told them ahead of time we wanted to reserve for a large party of about 14 people. We were sat all the way in the back by the kitchen and restroom, lol it was kinda weird but not bad since the place in general is small. The service was good, the waiters were very attentive and accepted the cake I brought earlier which I was glad. Parking is definitely a hassle! The restaurant shares a lot with other businesses but has another small lot next door dedicated for the restaurant. The food is great quality for the price! I got two maki rolls: the shaggy dog and a spicy tuna. The shaggy dog was huge haha but I wasn't complaining. When I got my check I was surprised how cheap it was! Would recommend coming here.

This restaurant is such a steal. If I was a local, I would be here WEEKLY. The happy hour special is such a great deal. They have a buy one, get one for all of their appetizers, and they have such a large variety of appetizers. Salmon rolls, tempura, edamame, and so much more. The restaurant was packed on a Tuesday night, but it never felt crowded. The servers were very attentive, and I would say that the restaurant was just cozy with how it was set up. I got the katsu Bento box, and for $16, it is packed with food. I got 6 pieces of nigiri, katsu, miso soup, salad, and seaweed. I also got the salmon roll and dynamite roll (not pictured) as appetizers. Everything was delicious, and I'll definitely be back if I'm ever in Houston again.

This is affordable sushi at its best. There's not too many places in town where you can get Japanese food priced like this. Expect a long wait everyday, anytime of the day. I've never been here where the wait is less than 20 mins, usually one hour during peak dining time. Definitely do not attempt to dine here if you're on a time crunch, better to order takeout in advance as it can take a while during peak times as well. Service is efficient and friendly. Sushi is fresh and the hot food is served hot. Note there is a happy hour here as well: Monday - Friday 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Saturday 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Arrived during peak lunch and managed to snag a parking spot with a friend - definitely trust the other reviews when they say this place gets busy at lunch time!! Very casual, chatty vibe which was perfect for a mid-work lunch with a friend and their lunch menu is really affordable! I ended up going with the 9 pc nigiri lunch special while my friend had a rice bowl - though I wish I had more of an appetite because their other rolls looked very yummy and affordable. Service was really fast, as we were deated quickly and attended to often throughout the meal despite the busy-ness. We also got fried gyoza and Takoyaki as starters. The gyoza was pretty standard but the takoyaki was honestly way too mushy for my liking. The nigiri was pretty good but didn't scream amazing to me. For the price, the place is a great quick and casual lunch and very kind to your wallet!

One of Houston's sushi staples! I love their happy hour. I usually get there before the rush hour crowd gets there, so I haven't had to wait long to be seated. The food is always fresh and good! The waiters and waitresses are nice and attentive. Definitely keeping this spot in my pocket!
